Took bus 30 home from Boon Lay today. It was my longest bus ride within Singapore ever! It took the bus 2hrs to reach Eunos MRT station. =X

I was freezing in the bus. And it was so cold that I could not make out my surroundings. So I decided to hibernate and I actually slept for an hour straight! And I felt peeish after I woke up. It was terrible!!

I'm still feeling uneasy from the ride back.. I am so not going to attempt the bus thing again.

My MacBook is finally upgraded to the new OS, Snow Leopard. *roar* I had finally decided to remember and collect the installer from Jeth today.

Did I mention that I think the picture of the snow leopard looks weird? It looks like it's high on drugs or something! It's eyes are like disappearing, and it looks like it's grinning at me. Weird.

Last wed was suayness to the max.

I left my phone in school and left for a meeting in town. Because I had to meet my ex-colleagues for supper, I needed to contact them urgently. After the meeting, I called choonteck about my phone and just before he could tell me anything more than "your phone is with me", his phone went flat. I called my brother but his phone was engaged. So I called home and tried to make arrangements with my sis to get my brother to retrieve my phone from choonteck. My sis called back shortly and told me choonteck had delivered my phone to our place. So I got Vivian's number and called, but I could not get her. Then I got the Taka's number and called, the line was engaged. That was about 9.15p.m. So I decided that I should just head down to Lau Pa Sat and find them. I reached Lau Pa Sat at around 9.40p.m. and wandered till about 11, and left. I went home and found out that the gathering was cancelled from an sms at around 9.05p.m. Only if my sis had told me about the sms..

And the reason why I couldn't get my brother on his phone, it was ran over by a bus. -_-" And then he got an iPhone 3G S the very next day. *urgh* I also want to get my phone run over by a bus!

The mention of him is so.. He did not get Edward for me! And he had the cheek to ask me about my wallet and then compared prices because his friend got a wallet there. He got ger and I some kuku t-shirt that said "Lost in Berlin". -_-" Ger commented that we should wear it to Macs to study one day. =P

And there were aftershocks from the suayness for the entire week!

The consolation was that I had 2 cups of KOI this week! FABULOUS!! X)

And I'm lovin' the VM ppl! I heart us!

My havis decided to snap on me after a trip to the toilet. I did not even notice anything wrong with it before. And that was my favourite pair!! I decided to get myself a new pair of slippers to tide through the remaining days of the week before buying that one that I had been eyeing for. I had to go to Jurong Point. And since dragging the broken slipper was too much of a hassle, I decided to walk around barefooted. You should have seen the looks on the people who walked past me. They looked at me as if I was some kuku pangsai. -_-" To add on to the kuku-ness, I splurged on a pair of Birkenstocks like *snap*.

Now I'm broke.

On the mention of shoes, take a look at those worn on the Alexander McQueen S/S10 runway. How did those models walk in those monstrous looking "heels"?!

I went fishing at Bedok Jetty with Gladys, her brother and Kensuke. I had the worst harvest - caught one fish and three others managed to release themselves from the hook and back into the waters. And then I gave up. =X Instead, I was watching this man catch squids. It was my first time seeing squids squirt ink out of themselves. I talked to the man for quite a while. He even offered me a live, mini squid to eat! And when I refused, he ate it to prove to me that it was safe. o.0

I am not cut out for fishing. I'll just be there to watch and enjoy the breeze. However, I would like to try prawning someday. So, who wants to bring me along?

A colleague told me, "你现再的 value 应该是最高的". That got me thinking quite a bit.

There are many contexts whereby a person is being measured by his capabilities. It could be for a job application, when seeking that someone special, or even when buying a Birkin.

So then, what defines your value?

Is it your physical looks?
Your personality?
Your background?
Your moral values?
Your social network?
Your wealth?
Or is it your health?

In my opinion, how much a person is worth depends very much on everything about him. But who are we to judge? Nobody is perfect and even if we were, how do we start? Is there a marking scheme to a person's worth? The only grading system I'd come across is by comparing each other's paycheck and ranking them in magazines. And I definitely rank low in that.

There is always room for improvement. We should strive to better ourselves and up our market value as much as we can now. Time is the essence. We have to achieve as much as possible when younger so as to enjoy the fruits of our labour in the future. There is no wasting of time if we want to ensure our worth does not depreciate exponentially over time.

And if you are wondering what my colleague was referring to, he was talking about age.

Good luck to me in increasing my own market value.

I went for my IPPT today. I had not taken the test for almost 2 years now. And I'm taking it because I do not want to be complicated into anything unnecessary. Well, the incentives for passing were my only motivation.

I'm quite saddened by Michael Jackson's death. Although I'm not of the same generation as when he started out as a solo artiste, but I know some of his music and that's enough to mourn for the loss of such an important figure in the pop music industry despite his eccentricities. I'm sure only a few of the younger people now would know who he is.

It's been a week since I started work. And life as a retail sales assistant is not as simple as it seems to be. There's definitely much more than it meets the eye.

It's very different to be a sales assistant and a customer. I wonder if any sales person has ever bitched about me before cause I'm definitely guilty of that. We as customers demand good service from the sales assistant but have we questioned ourselves if we are being difficult at times. Reflect on that. And I'm especially guilty of being one of those people who walks into the boutique and touch every other small leather goods on display and walk away as if nothing was good enough. And if you are wondering why I did not mess with the bags, it's because I know I will not be able to afford them. =X

Although it's very tiring for the past week, I'm lovin' my job! My colleagues are great and it's even harder to resist all that fabulous bags in the boutique. And not forgetting the other boutiques around!!

I'm currently eyeing the East West Intrecciato Tote. It's $5140. I swear to get it before I turn 30! X) By then, I think the bag might be more expensive. Whatever! I'll get it somehow!

Oh! And I'm hoping to find myself a 甘妈 who will shower me with lots of bags! Gucci, YSL or BV, 我都ok 的! ;) And the Birkin too!

I'm shortlisted!! I'm going to work at Bottega Veneta!! THIS IS SO EXCITING!! X)
Jeff was the nicest to ask me out to celebrate my getting of the job. He also wanted to celebrate his first complain letter! We had Muthu's Curry at Suntec and ice cream at Tom's Palette. Oh! And we tried our first organic milk which was ULTRA pasteurised from Cold Storage. LOL! I like today! (:

To add, my results for this sem was better than expected. I passed Physics and my cumulative GPA improved by quite a bit! Consistency IS important - traumatizing grades in sem one + much better grades from sem two = average overall. ): A lesson learnt. I really have to work harder than this. *sigh* Good luck to me!

The results for this semester will be released soon. It's so nerve-wrecking. I thought the results will only be released nearer to school re-opening but I guessed I'll get to face it like *snap*. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I created my own quiz on facebook a week ago and so far, 30 friends had attempted it. Cs got the highest score with 6 out of 8 questions correct while on average, each person got about 3 questions correct. I was expecting my brother to get the highest score and when he did not even passed, he told me that he's going to 重任识我. X) I thought hard when creating the quiz hoping that it would not be too superficial but by the looks of the results, the quiz was too difficult. The quiz consisted questions related to the 5 senses and one from primary school, secondary school and college. Someone commented that the questions looked harmless but were indeed tricky. o.0

I'm experimenting with making friends online. It's my new thing to try. And I see no harm in doing so. Furthermore, I'm way past that impressionable age and should be in better control.

Online conversations are a lot on typing and it's very interesting to look at how the conversations flow. I'm literally trying to read the other person from the things he says. But will I be reading too much? I really don't know. Hence, I'm just going to take things as they come. What we need here is a certain level of trust to make the whole experience fruitful. All that thinking is just going to spoil the fun.

So here I am trying what the teens now or what I was supposed to be experimenting with years back. I'm excited! I hope sincere friendships will blossom out of this.
